Psychotherapy

At EWC, we prioritize a human and nervous system-centred approach to therapy. This means we value authentically showing up as ourselves in session, as we are humans first and therapists second. We provide a safe and collaborative space for you to freely explore your thoughts, emotions, and the patterns that keep you stuck. We are passionate about helping you develop a deeper relationship with yourself by harnessing your strengths and fostering self-compassion and emotional regulation. We utilize a range of therapeutic modalities including, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and somatic approaches such as Parts work, Polyvagal Theory and Brainspotting.

ADHD & Neurodivergent
Affirming Therapy

Our team consists of neurodivergent-affirming therapists, many who are neurodivergent themselves. We provide an accepting and inclusive space for those who identify as neurodivergent (confirmed diagnosis is not required). We understand the unique challenges that come with being neurodivergent and the expectations that we often hold ourselves to as neurodivergent individuals. Living in a world that is designed to be against you is overwhelming and exhausting. Our team is passionate about helping you connect deeper with yourself by allowing you to work with, rather than against your brain to uncover and harness your strengths.

Parent Emotion Coaching

Parenthood is tough, we are here to support you. At EWC, we offer one-on-one sessions for parents and caregivers as an adjunct to your child/teen’s sessions. This space is safe and judgement-free for those who require guidance navigating through their child or teen’s emotional wellness. By utilizing Emotion-Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), each session is collaborative, as we collectively determine strategies that best suit the unique needs of your family. These sessions often focus on attachment and co-regulation strategies.

At EWC, we offer a specialized type of therapy called Brainspotting. Brainspotting is a therapeutic approach that helps the brain and body process experiences that can feel “stuck,” such as trauma, stress, or strong emotional reactions. Research shows that where we focus our gaze can influence how we feel, and Brainspotting uses this connection to access and release difficult emotions safely. It’s a gentle, body-based therapy that combines mindfulness with focused attention, supporting healing, emotional regulation, and a greater sense of balance.
