Where this usually starts
Maybe it's a child who melts down over textures, transitions, or loud spaces. A teen who's bright but struggles to keep up with the demands of school and daily routines. A new mom trying to figure out how her body, her home, and her days fit together after having a baby. Someone preparing to return to work and feeling like the version of "functioning" they used to have doesn't quite fit anymore.
Occupational therapy isn't about fixing a person — it's about building the skills, strategies, and environments that let people do the everyday things that matter to them.
What is Occupational Therapy?
"Occupation," in OT terms, just means the everyday activities that make up a life — getting dressed, focusing at school, managing a household, returning to work, playing, resting, connecting with others. Occupational therapists assess how a person's body, mind, and environment are working together, and build a personalized plan to close the gap between where someone is and where they want to be.
It's a hands-on, practical complement to the nervous-system-focused care we already provide at Echo Wellness Collective. Regulation, sensory processing, and daily functioning are deeply connected — when the nervous system feels supported, skill-building tends to stick. Occupational therapy and nervous system care work as two parts of the same whole.
The Neurological Approach
Using a neurological approach, we provide individualized care that focuses on how the nervous system influences movement, sensory processing, regulation, learning, and everyday function.
Our assessments and treatment plans are designed to strengthen neural connections
Pediatric Care
Supporting infants, children, and adolescents in developing the skills needed for everyday activities, like play, learning, and social participation Using a neurological approach, we help children build confidence, independence, and the foundation for their success.
Perinatal Care
Providing specialized support throughout pregnancy and postpartum to promote physical, emotional, and functional well-being. Our services help parents navigate the transition into parenthood, manage their physical changes, support mental wellness, and develop strategies for caring for themselves and their growing family.
Adult Care
We help adults improve or regain the skills needed for meaningful daily living following injury, illness, neurological conditions, or life transitions. We’re working with you to bring you back to all the things you love and reach your goals together.
